德稻生态修复大师李若云教授于2015年9月9日-22日期间来华访问。李若云教授此次访问主要在京沪两地与国内有关高校、大型企业、以及公益组织等进行了深入交流，并与上海海洋大学签署合作备忘录，正式开启李若云生态修复工作室与中国高校战略合作联盟。

与上海海洋大学签署合作备忘录

9月14日下午，李若云教授与上海海洋大学水产与生命学院谭洪新书记、教授分别代表德稻大师李若云生态修复工作室与上海海洋大学水产与生命学院在上海德稻中心签署合作备忘录。签约当天，德稻集团副总裁王艳女士、德稻集团总裁助理及国际交流部部长文亦飞先生、德稻大师传承（DMH）部副部长闫金丽女士、上海海洋大学水产与生命学院张饮江教授、于克锋副教授、邵留博士等专家出席并见证了签约仪式。

李若云工作室与水产与生命学院自李若云教授2014年11月第一次拜访上海海洋大学以来，一直保持密切联系。双方怀着为下一代留下更好的生存环境这一信念，成功签署合作备忘录。这既是工作室与上海海洋大学战略合作的起点，也标志着工作室生态修复学术网络的建立。

李若云教授出席鲁能集团全球战略合作研讨会并发表讲话

2015年9月20日，李若云教授应鲁能集团邀请出席鲁能集团全球战略合作暨文昌·山海天新产品发布会，并在会上发表讲话。他指出，在山海天项目中，鲁能有决心将李若云教授的生态保护及修复理念融合到项目开发中，将为中国的未来可持续发展和保护树立行业标杆。李若云教授提出的生态保护理念，不仅给鲁能集团提出了新的挑战，更为鲁能提供了实现可持续生态系统、促进当地经济发展的机会。

李若云教授于2015年4月参与文昌·山海天湿地公园规划项目，并分别于4月、7月前往项目地点考察。今年7月，他为湿地公园制作了概念规划方案，目前已进入审核阶段。

此次会议，李若云大师通过进一步宣讲他的生态保护理念，增进了双方的理解，进一步拓展合作领域。对方希望与李若云教授再次合作，并邀请教授在下次来华时与集团领导会议，探讨生态保护及修复理念在全国的推广。

拜访北京林业大学

2015年9月19日，李若云教授拜访北京林业大学，与来自自然保护区学院的领导及教授们亲切会谈。会议上，李若云教授与张明祥教授（自然保护区学院科研副院长）就各自项目及研究进行了交流，对入侵物种清除、林火管理技术及生态系统评估等项目实施中的技术手段进行了深入探讨。双方将共同期待未来在生态修复领域开展合作。

工作室服务范围

德稻大师李若云生态修复工作室一直致力于与中国人民的广泛交流，在水资源的保护与管理以及生态修复等领域进行开展教育与培训，力图改变人们对水资源的理解，给中国的下一代留下一笔持久的宝贵遗产。为了更好地践行这一使命，在与国内同行的广泛交流基础上，此行李若云大师与德稻相关职能部门管理人员充分沟通，明确工作室在教育培训（DMH，德稻大师传承）、项目服务（DMS, 德稻大师解决方案）等方面为中国同行提供更好的帮助与服务。

Prof. Kevin Lee Erwin, DeTao Master of Ecological Restoration, has visited China from September 9th to 21st. Through this trip, he has got opportunities communicating and exchanging with top universities, large enterprises, and NGOs in Shanghai and Beijing, and has signed MOU with Shanghai Ocean University (SHOU), which marks the official establishment of the studio’s strategic partnership with universities.

In the afternoon of Sept.14th, 2015, Prof. Kevin Erwin and Prof. Tan Hongxin, President of College of Fisheries and Life Science, on behalf of Studio Erwin and College of Fisheries and Life Science, SHOU accordingly, have signed the MOU at Shanghai DeTao Centre. The Vice President of DeTao Group Ms. Regina Wang has attended and witnessed the ceremony, and has given a speech at the ceremony. The Assistant to President and the Director of International Communication Department, Mr. Jared Man, and the Associate Director of DeTao Master Heritage Department, Ms. Jenny Yan, and Prof. Zhang Yinjiang, Prof. Yu Kefeng, Dr. Shao Liu from the College of Fisheries and Life Science have attended and witnessed the MOU signing.

Prof. Erwin first visited SHOU in last November. Since then, the Studio and the College have been communicating and studying from each other. With the same vision of leaving better environment for the future generations, the successful signing of the MOU marks the establishment of the Studio’s academic network in ecological restoration, and the strategic partnership with SHOU.

Luneng Release Conference

On Sept.20th, 2015, as invited, Prof. Kevin Erwin has attended Luneng Group Global Strategic Cooperation and New Product Release Conference for Wenchang Shanhaitian Project, and has given a talk during the conference. He pointed out that in Shanhaitian Project, Luneng as a developer, by incorporating his concept of ecological conservation and restoration into project development, can set a new standard for future sustainable development and conservation in China. This is a big challenge for Luneng Group, but it will help Luneng to maintain a sustainable ecosystem and to promote regional economics for local people.

Prof. Kevin Erwin has been involved in Luneng’s Wenchang Wetland Park Project since April. In his last trip to Wenchang in July, he has prepared a conceptual drawing for the wetland park planning for further review and permission. Through this conference, the relationship between the studio and Luneng has been strengthened. After the conference, Prof. Kevin Erwin, Luneng leader and the project team members had an active discussion about the project conditions. The leader has invited Prof. Erwin for a meeting during his next trip in Beijing.

Visit to Beijing Forestry University

On Sept.19th, 2015, Prof. Kevin Erwin has visited Beijing Forestry University, and had a meeting with leaders and professors from the School of Nature Conservation (SNC). Prof. Erwin, Prof. Zhang Mingxiang (Research Vice Dean of the SNC), and other Professors and teachers from SNC had an intensive communication about project implementations including invasive species removing, fire management, and ecosystem assessment. Both parties look forward to working together on ecological restoration in the near future.

Service Scope of the Studio Erwin of Ecological Restoration

The Studio Erwin of Ecological Restoration with the mission to “network, teach and mentor the Chinese people on issues related to water resource protection, management and restoration, leaving a legacy for future generations to build upon”. In order to better fulfill the mission, after extensive exchanges with his Chinese colleagues, Prof. Kevin Erwin held discussions with relavant departments at DeTao during this trip on the specific services the studio could provide for the Chinese market in DMH and DMS.
